The end result is a “ magic” moment you see the dress in all its stages.  You see the amount of work involved and you know its unique to you.

Mary’s aim has always been to create handcrafted garments to the highest standards, she understands the importance of attention to detail, her designs have a clean modern look.

Mary’s studio in Fulham has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Mary will take your measurements for the toile a calico “dress” that fits you like a glove and is the basis of all couture garments. After that come three fittings as the dress progresses. No wonder these outfits look so fantastic. They fit you, not some standardised industry model.

Everything is done on her premises so last minute alterations are not a problem if brides shed a few pounds in the last week’s.  Allow six to eight months for the full process.

She moved to London where she worked with some of London’s most sought after Designers where she gained invaluable experience.
Mary also worked as a Fashion College Tutor where she inspired and helped many Fashion design students to bring their collections to the cat walk, before starting her own business in 1986 creating Wedding Gowns and Special Occasion Wear.
In TODAY’S ready-to-wear era, it is a rare treat to have a dress made to order from scratch – or rather, from a design of your own.
The first appointment is a free consultation, where you discuss your ideas and Mary will look at your shape, colouring and hair to see what she thinks will suit you best.

Mary Treacy graduated from the Grafton Academy of Dress Design in Dublin.
